Grapple hook (sometimes referred to as Grappling hook or Hookshot) is a mode of transportation used by people that like fun. To grapple hook, you shoot the hook via some mechanism and it becomes embedded in a surface, then using a rope or chain, pull yourself towards the embedded hook. Grapple hook used by many a cool dude, from ninjas to femboys. Some car even grapple hook, yowza.
Many critics of grapple hook say that it's unsafe and potentially dangerous. However, these people are actually just jealous of how cool it looks when you use a grapple hook successfully. The Mythbusters proved it and they also do it in basically every Black Ops game so it has to be real.
History
Grapple hook was invented by the romans in 23 AD, it's how they caught Jesus. He tried to get away by running on water but they used the grapple hook to catch him.
Everyone forgot about grapple hook for a while until Batman reinvented it in the 1960s. He probably also gave it to the Romans too because I think Batman had a time machine. Batman used the grapple hook in all sorts of ways including to climb building, to drive car, bondage, to grab object, and to swing. It was so cool that it became adopted by the United States Special Forces.
