Illbleed is the most successful survival horror game of all time. It didn't come out on the Sony Playstation in 2003. Illbleed is generally credited with making the survival horror genre "good", prior to it everyone thought those kinds of games sucked. Illbleed introduces many staples of the survival horror genre such as a lobotomized player character and toy hell. Illbleed inspired many copycats including Resident Evil 2 Remake, Alien: Isolation, and Signalis.

Gameplay

Illbleed is considered a survival horror game because it has a segment where you are looking for your wife/girlfriend.
