Night
Night is a time in the time of the day. It's when the stars come out and the sun goes away.
It's the time when the time is the end, but the next morning is just around the bend.
Many things change when night does fall, most importantly guys that are nocturnal!
The world is beautiful when it's late, but darkness is hard to appreciate.
What's in the sky?
The moon and her tides!
Stars back the moon as a guiding trail, for celestial ones and ones who sail.
Planets spin in a very slow dance. to us they don't move, simply a stance.
The earth casts a shadow from the sun's light, but that's probably not why we call it night.
What of the critters?
They hoot and chitter!
When most animals go to bed, these spooky guys are awake instead!
Owls, crickets, bats and moths, stalking cats, toads on rocks.
They may be scary, but don't be alarmed, just don't get lost and you won't be harmed.
Tired, aren't you?
Then you better go honk-shoo!
We're more fit to be in the day, sunlight and warmth help us on our way.
If you stay up too late you'll go mental, so a place to sleep is pretty essential.
A nice soft bed is where you should be if you should be sleeping peacefully.
What else is there?
Too much, I swear!
There's a lot that happens after dark, like ghosts, the cold, and coyotes that bark
But to list them all is a lengthy task, and in that time, more nights will pass!
So look outside after night falls, see for yourself
