The Fresno Nightcrawler is an american cryptid endemic to the southwest, generally accepted to be a hoax.
Origins and biology
The nightcrawlers were first seen in Fresno, and later documented as far as Yosemite. They ambulate about on two leg like appendages and have no other limbs. While the creator of the yosemite footage has later claimed it was faked, no such debunking has occured for the Fresno trailcam footage.

Domestication
In the lower reaches of the habitat range there have been some semi successful attempts to domesticate the nightcrawler. One famous trainer based in mexico taught it to wear clothes and make noises in a crude approximation of human speech, though it struggles with logic and continuous thoughts.
