Whether you know it or not, you've seen Male_07. Originally from Valve's revolutionary first-person-shooter Half-Life 2, Male_07 was only one of nine male character models for the game's citizen and resistance allies. He garnered little attention at the game's launch, only gaining some measure of internet fame in 2006 after the release of Garry's Mod. At first only appearing in crude screenshots and early webcomics, Male_07 found his most famous role in Half-Life: Full Life Consequences as John Freeman, who was Gordon Freeman's brother and eventual saver of humens.
