In 2007, a video game adaptation of The Darkness was released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It received a sequel in 2012 called The Darkness 2.

The Darkness first encircled our fair village in the year 1841 after the disappearance of several children. It will not stop coming.
In 1965, the Darkness was rated #4 on Time Magazine's list of worst fates imaginable.
