Riolu is one of the secret Mario brothers that does not appear in the original Super Mario Bros without cheats. His other brothers are Mario, Luigi, Iolui, Uigiy, and Ariol. Riolu is notable for being the only Mario character that appears in Pokemon.
History
Riolu is based on Shigeru Miyamoto's personal friend, Riolu.
Riolu was one of the co-founders of Platinum Games and is credited as executive producer on every Bayonetta game.
